Suzan was raised on a farm in Gobles Michigan. Obtained Bachelor in Science and Nursing degree at Grand Valley State University. As a RN practiced as a Cardiac Critical Care nurse. In 1997 graduated Grand Valley State University with Masters in Science and Nursing, Psychiatic Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified degree.

Work experience in health care started initially as a CNA in nursing homes. Then as a RN in a Mental Health Crisis House for Van Buren County also serving on their mental health board for 10 years. Then 15 years as a RN for home health nursing, starting a new service for the mental health population who frequented ER's for treatment and symptom management of anxiety, depression, mood and sleep disorders. Has also worked in management as Director of Nursing in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Director of Nursing for a psychiatric unit and as a provider in a busy private practice office. Also has worked as a Clinical Hospice manager and as a provider in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing geriatric mental health services. She continues to work as a Hospice Nurse Practitioner for a Hospice organization providing symptom management and performing regulatory evaluations.

In 2016 relocate to the Detroit area when offered employment as a provider for the chronically mentally ill population which included drug and alcohol abuse court ordered mental health treatment, court ordered anger management treatment. Other diagnosis of familiarity are: Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, Depression, Delusional Disorder, Drug induced psychosis, Generalized / Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Eating Disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum disorders and Mood disorders.

Enjoys her children, grandchildren, nature and loves animals.
