Lenny's treatment philosophy focuses on developing a positive relationship with the client. He frequently uses humor to confront feelings of shame, fear, and inadequacy. He takes a gentle approach when working with individuals and families, focusing on practical solutions to the everyday challenges his clients face.
Lenny received a B.S. in Psychology from Michigan State University and a M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Detroit-Mercy in 1996. He has worked in a diverse set of community-based treatment environments and has provided outpatient mental health services since 2000. In addition to direct service clinical experiences, Lenny was also the clinical director of a counseling department for a local social service agency. Lenny is well-versed in treating individuals with anxiety, trauma and loss, childhood behavioral issues, family issues, and relationship issues.
Lenny currently resides in Oakland County with his son and his dog. No one in the house listens to a word he says, so keep that in mind if you are looking for input on parenting, martial, or dog training issues.
