Monique (she/her) is a dedicated Limited Licensed Social Worker who is committed to creating a sanctuary of unconditional acceptance---one that is not just non-judgmental, but warmly welcoming and profoundly empathetic. Monique goes beyond the surface, embracing every facet of who you are, including those parts that may have been shrouded in shame. Monique is passionate about supporting individuals who struggle, especially relationally, due to complex trauma, childhood trauma, and PTSD. With a background in aiding survivors of sexual assault/rape, domestic violence, and childhood abuse, she extends her care to women and young adults navigating these concerns, as well as ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Monique has her Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelors in Psychology from Alma College. In addition, Monique has her certification in trauma-informed practice and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She believes in the uniqueness of each individual's journey, shaping her therapy to be as distinctive as the person seeking it. Monique's therapeutic toolbox is rich and diverse, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoeducation, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatics, and Attachment Theory. She employs a holistic, mind-body approach that is not just client-centered but strives to empower growth in every way possible.
