Hi there! I'm Lauren, and I'm passionate about helping kids, teens, and families build confidence, overcome challenges, and tap into their strengths. I earned both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from Wayne State University, specializing in Family Systems. Over the course of my career, I spent ten years working as a youth program employee, director, and regional director where I developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges that young people and families face.
Whether we're tackling school issues, building self-esteem, improving family communication, or navigating life transitions, I focus on empowering individuals to reach new heights. I believe every child has unique strengths, and my approach centers on drawing out those strengths and celebrating progress—no matter how big or small. My therapy style blends empathy, goofiness, and a client-led focus, creating a playful, supportive environment where growth can happen.
I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play-based interventions, and Bowenian Family Therapy to tailor sessions to meet each person's unique needs. Above all, I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and I am honored to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery and improvement.
