With over 15 years of clinical experience in the field of Psychology, Cari McCalden has helped adults overcome anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, insomnia, relationship and family issues, divorce, LGBT issues, adjustment problems, and other complicated and potentially life-altering issues. Cari often utilizes Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches to treatment, in addition to strategies of mindfulness, in her interventions.
After earning degrees from both Michigan State University and the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Cari worked tirelessly to help treat the chronically mentally ill at Trilogy Center, a non-profit behavioral healthcare organization based in Chicago. After returning to Michigan, Cari worked as a Neurofeedback and biofeedback therapist performing life-changing interventions that successfully decreased symptoms of depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Since then, Cari has worked as an outpatient therapist at Eastwood Clinics and Henry Ford Behavioral Health as well as a behavioral therapist at the Henry Ford Wellness Center where she conducted Psychophysiological Assessments and interventions of biofeedback and counseling.
